Fiona!

Fiona is the kind of dog that lives to curl up at your feet and go to sleep. At least that's what she did when I met her (though honestly she deserves to be on a comfy sofa!) She is sweet as pie, despite the fact that she is in severe pain due to a hip condition. The shelter she is at does not have the funds to pay to have x-rays done, and the shelter vet has recommended she be euthanized due to pain. But you can see in her eyes that she wants to live, and she's not even too grumpy with her puppy cage mate when he jumps up on her. She's just the sweetest girl, but can't be adopted out in her condition.

What Fiona really needs is a rescue group to take her in, someone who will pay to get her the x-rays she needs, give her any treatment she requires, and do the right thing if it turns out that she is suffering and can't be treated. But lets not worry too much about that last option. She gets around good, is still pretty young (4 - 5 years old) and is small for a shep mix....44lbs. I have to believe she can be treated because she is just such a joy to be around and you can tell she just wants the opportunity to love and be loved.
